I loved the dining set I got a few months back because it seated 8 and it was made of real, solid wood.
And as much as I also loved the old world shape of the chairs, I loathed the design on the seat and back paddings.
Enter my devoted husband and doting mom. The ultimate mother-and-son-in-law duo.
And...ta-dah!
My dining chairs look awesome now!

P.S. I know it's Wordless Wednesday...but I had to say just a little bit! ;)

What a great team you have! and they look great - love the blue.
ReplyDeletelooks like a gorgeous dining set you have too. mine is hand me down from my mother in law and I have no matching chairs. which actually totally matches my entire home - since it's non matching hand me downs. haha
Hand me downs are awesome. I have those too. But since you probably have more than I do, we'll just call yours....the ECLECTIC STYLE! ;)
ReplyDeleteToo funny, we just re-upholstered our chairs, this weekend...:)
ReplyDeleteIt was a weekend of DIY for sure! ;)
ReplyDeleteI was gonna call you a slacker, but then I remembered, you have kids...:) We've been remodeling our downstairs. Got rid of our living room furnature, traded the dining table for a nicer one, but the chairs needed work, so we bought the material and reupholstered them. We have vaulted ceilings, and rented a scaffold one weekend to put trim at the roofline, painted the walls, did the base boards. The sofa, chair and TV stand we got this week, and I have one more bit of high-wire acrobatics to do. But essentially we finished. Been since Oct. 1 that we've been at it. Now, to get ready for Advent!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you shared this on the chat!! Chair covers may very well be my next project.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I need sewing machine though.....
Oh cool. I would love to see the before and after. You're gettin' kinda crafty lately. Are you trying to take a break from writing your novel? hmmmmm?
