It seems not so long ago, but I'm glad the phase passed.
Yes, I got a perm. It was in style when I was in high school. I opted in.
It wasn't so bad, really. Made fixing my hair easy.
Just empty half a can of mousse on my head, then either comb out for a fluffy look...
OR... let it dry for a wet scrunchy look! Like me!
Did you go through that phase too? (Say I wasn't alone!)
And that's an "I Love You" sign - not the "Asian Peace Sign Thing."
And I totally love my friend's photobomb - back when photobomb wasn't even a word yet. (I feel so old.)

thanks to a nasty computer virus, I missed this week --- and boy do I have a perm hairdo for you too! LOL
ReplyDeletemy hair was long and it went in ringlets. I actually kinda miss it.
Gosh, I don't even know where that pic is..... my mom might actually have it. But when I cut my hair this summer, I realized that at a certain length??? It's naturally curly. Go figure.
You gotta find that pic! Even if it's just to make me feel better! :D
ReplyDeleteYou were a gorgeous young lady. No way would I show off my high school hair next to yours! Mine is naturally curly. My mom's was straight and fine. From the time I was small she insisted it was cut very short because she had no clue what to do with it or how to teach me to do anything with it. Oh, my. Curly hair cut short doesn't curl. It waves-- Like an 80 year old woman's hair waves. Not that there is anything wrong with that...unless you are 16 and self-conscious about having elderly hair!

Thank you for the compliment! Now, my hair is naturally wavy. And yes, they don't do well cut short - unless you take to the curling iron every morning! ;)
